If you’ve been following along, I’m often asked to comment on American culture. One of the things that I like so much about our big events — The Grammy’s, The Superbowl, The Oscars — is that those spectacles bring us all together on friendly territory as one nation under pop culture. These are the events that become water cooler conversation the day after. Yes, some people remember where they were when Kennedy was shot. I remember where I was for the end of Seinfeld, for last episode of Friends, and for every Oscar night of the 21st Century. Last evening, I hunkered down with my Jacques Torres caramel chocolate covered popcorn and watched the 85th Annual movie star prom.
