After several years of negotiation and red tape, The Beatles have arrived on iTunes. You could say Apple met Apple yesterday, since The Beatles record label is called Apple Records. Apple made a huge deal about the release, calling it
a day you’ll never forget. I’m not sure how I feel about The Beatles songs being proffered individually; I tend to be of the school of thought that The Beatles should be consumed as full albums, not as singles. Looks like many iTuners are in agreement– Beatles albums dominate the
top 50 in iTunes album sales, with Abbey Road leading the race.
