“A battle for the ages. A battle of the titans.” And in my opinion slightly disturbing. This weekend was the National Buffalo Wing Festival (in Buffalo, NY, of course) and its eating contest (sponsored by Pepto Bismol, of course.) Sonya Thomas “The Black Widow” of eating contests beat top professional eater Joey Chestnut by eating 181 chicken wings in 12 minutes. The festival served more than 1/2 million wings.
The question is: How does one become a “professional eater?” I’m putting that on my list of next careers.
