Growing up, my mother used to make us breakfast for dinner, and waffles were always a favorite. And who’d have thunk it…Today is all about celebrating these childhood treats, in honor of the anniversary of the first U.S. patent for a waffle iron. A great, fluffy waffle starts with a really simple recipe, like Alton Brown’s Basic Waffles. And here’s a very detailed video on making waffles. (All recipes should come with videos, in my opinion.)
