Gossip – Cindy Adams

The New York Post’s one-of-a-kind treasure Cindy Adams quotes me in her column today. “LIFESTYLE expert Bruce Littlefield announces that the Curl Up & Dye beauty salon, 2188 B’way, curled up and died. Only in New York, kids, only in New York.” I love beauty parlor names and the fun signs associated with them. There’s at least one “Best Little Hairhouse” in every state, and who can pass up “Grateful Head,” “A Cut Above,” and “Headhunters.” I once saw a sign in front of a South Carolina beauty parlor that said: “Don’t put off until tomorrow, you can dye today!” So true. I’m calling my stylist now! Is there a funny parlor in your town you want to share?
