Dinner Party Talk – The Oscars

It’s that time of year again…awards season! The official Academy Awards nominees were announced this morning, hot on the heels of the Golden Globes and the Grammys. It was an unusual year for movies, and the list of nominees reflects that – two sci-fi movies (Avatar and District 9) are on the list for Best Picture, along with the inspirational but fluffy Sandra Bullock flick The Blind Side.
