Elvis would have turned 75 this month. One of my favorite songs was “Hound Dog,” and one of my favorite performances was “>Elvis and the basset hound on the Steve Allen show in 1956. Michael Riedel at the New York Post recently pointed out the performance in an interesting article. I love the legend that is Elvis, but I’m also a fan of Big Mama Thornton.
