We have our TOP 12! America voted and winnowed it down to our Top 12. Let’s hope next week, these 12 put on a good show. As Simon would say, “If I’m being honest,” it’s been generally lackluster thus far. Remember in previous seasons where there was talent so good, it brought tears to our eyes to say goodbye? Speaking of “goodbyes,” will this year’s swan song be the beautifully melodramatic Will Young’s “Leave Right Now?” As for this Top 12, I’m most sad to see Alex “The Mullet” Lambert (Ellen’s “over-ripe banana”) go. I wish he could have gotten his footing, but instead he slipped on a banana peel… and that’s the way it goes in the competition jungle. Who do you think should have stayed?
