Michael’s is by far one of my favorite stores. I go there all the time to pick up things for my craft addiction, but on my last visit I noticed something strange. They’ve put up new displays of vintage candy (which I would normally love) but one little box on the shelf caught my eye: candy cigarettes. When I was a kid, my mother fought to have these taken off the shelves at Carowinds Theme Park in Charlotte, NC. It’s 2010 – I don’t think selling kids the idea that cigarettes are fun is a good thing. Please let your local Michael’s know.
