She’s no PhD., Ellie is an eight-year-old labrador retriver. According to this USA Today article, holding Ellie’s leash makes witnesses on the stand much calmer. The practice of bringing dogs into courtrooms is spreading all over the country, and Courthouse Dogs is just one organization that trains these pups.
