Life 101 – Snow Day

Snow more!

Last night, we got more snow in New York City, and I agree with the church in Poughkeepsie that has the sign outside: “Whoever is praying for snow, please STOP!” When I was a kid, “snow days” were the best two words in the English language. As an adult, the first time you hear it a season, you cheer. The second time, you smile. And every time after that you ponder the plow bill, the oil bill, the electric bill, and who is going to walk the dog, take out the trash, and shovel the walk… Seriously, enough already. I’m ready for spring. Tomorrow, I’m ordering seeds just to prove it.
