American Fun – Grammar Snobs

Everyone knows someone who’s a grammar snob. (Especially that rather annoying breed who likes to keep tabs on “well” and “good”. For example, “You did good!” is constantly followed by a snippy, “Don’t you mean ‘well?'” Anyway, moving on.) Merriam-Webster has a cool new Ask the Editor feature, sure to thrill all wordsmiths, where associate editor Kory Stamper discusses common grammar errors. Is it “octopuses” or “octopi”? It’s all and more! Just ask Kory, who, in my opinion, misspells her own name.
