Call It What You Want
Garage Sale. Yard Sale. Tag Sale. Barn Sale. Rummage Sale. Estate Sale. Stoop sale. Call it what you want sale; it describes one thing—the best deal in America. There’s hidden treasure out there if you’re willing to go hunting, track down the prize, and drag it home. Certainly, if you’re looking to make money and have a good eye, you can do it by pawing around at garage sales—many an eBay multi-power seller has been born at a garage sale. But for me, it’s not about making money. It’s about the adventure, the discovery of something I didn’t know, and finding treasures I can use. Let’s go saling. What is it you’re looking for?
Everything I ever needed to know about life, I learned at a garage sale
•Everybody’s looking for something.
•Just because it’s old, doesn’t mean it’s gold.
•One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. And vise versa.
•When you give, you get.
•Life can be perfect, even in its imperfections.
•There’s nothing worse than the one that got away.
•Even “free” comes with a price.
•A bargain is something you didn’t know you needed at a price you couldn’t resist.
•Greed isn’t pretty.
•Know when to cut bait.
•Nothing is yours forever.
