This story has torn my heart out. And make me want to never fly Delta Airlines again. Consumerist is reporting that Josiah Allen was flying back with Mexico with his dog Paco on Delta. He made it. The dog didn’t. Somewhere south of the border, Delta lost his dog. Worse still, what they offered him? A $200 refund of his pet transportation fee! I would, I believe, be incarcerated for what I would have done next if Delta lost my dog.

UPDATE #2: Delta spokesperson Susan Elliott says, “This is extremely rare for a situation like this to happen.” She says that they are going to be offering Josiah “additional compensation as well as our sincere apology.”
