Last night the Grammy Awards united current pop queen Lady Gaga with lifetime pop legend Sir Elton John. The performance was glittery, glitzy, and totally amazing, and set the bar high for music’s big night. Beyoncé came out the big winner, taking home six(!) awards, more than any other female artist in history. But I was most happy about my Woodstock neighbor Levon Helm (drummer of The Band) for winning his Grammy after losing his voice to cancer and fighting back! His “Ramble Sessions” at his barn (based on the southern medicine shows of his youth) often features some of the most notable entertainers and musicians of our time. Congrats Levon!
