My friend, the marketing director for a major women’s magazine, asked me if I knew of a female doctor who would want to appear in an ad for an anti-incontinence product. They sent out a casting call for a female primary care physician who was “thin and had two or three TV appearances under her belt. Not required to endorse the product, though it will look very much like you are.” The pay: $25,000! I said I’d wear a wig. Enjoy your dinner!
