You’re looking at a Zedonk… an adorable cross between a donkey and a zebra. She’s becoming a star attraction at the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve in Dahlonega, Georgia after being born there about a week ago. She has black stripes that she gets from her zebra father and a great ass she gets from her donkey mother. (But that’s just my opinion!)
C.W. Wathen, the preserve’s founder, said the foal has a zebra’s instincts, sitting up to stay alert for predators rather than lying on her side. Awww. I’m in love.

I just visited the Lego store in NYC and was inspired. Did you know Legos began in a small village in 1930s Denmark, a carpenter named Old Kirk Christiansen opened a store to sell the wooden toys he carved in his spare time? He named the shop “leg godt,” which means “have fun!” in Danish. In the 1950s his son took over and switched building materials from wood to plastic. Not long after adopting plastic, he came up with the stud and tube brick system used in modern Legos, and… today nineteen billion bricks are made every year. Have FUN!

The borderline creepy/awesome site features six webcams strategically placed around the Eiffel Tower, so you can view the tower (which looks exactly the same from the front and back) at all hours of the day. What’s really fun are the webcams located inside restaurants and shops. I can only imagine the tantrums people would throw if they placed a webcam in Bergdorf Goodman so we could watch Beyonce shop via the Internet. The last time I was at Bergdorf, I stalked Oprah.

The # 23 jersey says ‘King’ on the front and ‘James’ on the back. Maybe Lebron wants to buy it off Vaneisha as a good luck charm as he heads to Miami. We’ve now reached a whole new funky fresh level of GROSS. Eater has the unbelievable, but true, story of The Candwich, a sandwich in a can that comes in three flavors: peanut butter and strawberry jam, peanut butter and grape jam, and, the most one that sends shivers down my spine: BBQ Chicken. But wait! There’s more. Plans for Pepperoni Pizza and French Toast Candwiches are in the works. The Candwich, of course, comes with its share of controversy. If anyone buys one, please tell us what exactly is the “Candy Surprise Inside.” Icky poo. No, thanks! I’ll just make a homemade PBJ and wrap it in a baggie. Here’s a funtastic musical recipe for peanut butter and jelly. Or, even better, check out the Peanut Butter Song from Inside out. “I’m peanut butter and you’re jelly and we’re so happy on our little piece of bread.” DEFINITELY worth a listen! Enjoy your uncanned dinner!

Turns out I’m not the only one, and my friends at Surfer magazine just started a BP Oil Crisis blog. It’s equally refreshing as it is tear-jerking: stories and photographs from real people along the coast. Articles betray shock and emotion as the bloggers watch the tragedy unfold on their precious seas. Because after all, who loves the beach more than surfers? Kudos to Surfer mag for bringing some heartfelt media coverage to the crisis.
